Pretend City Children’s Area

Are you wondering how to keep the kids appeased between bouts of standing in line at your favorite trucks?  The answer is the Pretend City Children’s Area.  It will represent a sampling of exhibits and activities that families can enjoy when they visit the museum, which is located in Irvine.

Children will be able to dress up as different professions, have fun with bubbles at the Bubble Pool, create their own city on City Rugs, learn about marine life while they work on the ocean puzzle, or even build their own fort.  In keeping with the OC Foodie Fest’s theme, kids can make their own “ice cream cones” at the Ice Cream Stand, learn about healthy foods at the Farmer’s Market Stand, or celebrate Pretend City’s first birthday by decorating their birthday cake.  There will even be various community partners, such as the Orange County Fire Authority, Waterworks Aquatics and the Irvine Police Department, throughout the day to interact with the children and show them their uniforms, tools, badges, etc.

The Pretend City Children’s Area is a fun and educational way to keep your children entertained at the OC Foodie Fest!  Learn more about the museum at their website and keep up with their daily events on Facebook or Twitter.
