For this month’s segment of Guys Night Out, we wanted to share some great bars in Costa Mesa that you can visit with your friends — there’s something for everyone. Whether you like high-end bars or the more discrete ones, we have great options for you to pick from. Enjoy!

Kitsch Bar

Kitsch Bar – This is a hipster hole in the wall with thick velvet walls, leather booths and 80’s art. Kitsch is a great for pre-dinner drinks and they have switch it up every night of the week (killer DJ sets). Make sure to check out their website for their calendar.

Mesa

mesa bar

Mesa – They have a nice upscale lounge vibe, so make sure to throw on a button up. They have a great simple menu, which is totally guy friendly with steaks, short ribs, burgers, and one of the best small plate selections in Orange County; they also have a late night menu. FYI, there are usually lots of single females. The open atmosphere makes it a great for meeting new people.

Bristol

bristrol

Bristol – Keep the party going at this hidden gem. It’s a Japanese “hostess” bar with karaoke and private tables. They don’t have a website, it’s the kind of a place you have to be told about in order to find it. The blacked out windows make it dark inside, but the service and food are top notch. Make sure to go with a group to take advantage of the table and bottle service.

Costa Mesa is a great place to chill with the guys. All three of these places are down the street from one another so it makes Uber super easy and cheap. Remember this is also a great area if you decide to go dive bar hopping, we suggest the Huddle, Garfs, and Goat Hill Tavern nearby.

Hi there! I love writing about Orange County and all the wonderful things it has to offer. When I am not writing, I spend time with my loving wife, beautiful son, and our friendly Pitbull, Brooklyn. If you ever see me around, feel free to say hi, we can sit down and have coffee.
