10. Bad Santa

We decided to start our list off with the movie Bad Santa. This 2003 film puts an unhappy conman and his partner in a tight situation. They decide it would be a good idea to pose as santa and his little helper in order to steal from department stores on Christmas Eve. The two men get into trouble after the con man becomes friends with a troubled child and the head of security at one of the department stores discovers their plan.

9. Nightmare Before Christmas

This 1993 film is one we’ve all seen before. The plot centers around Jack Skellington who is the king of Halloween town. He ends up discovering Christmas Town but he can’t quite grasp the concept of Christmas.

8. White Christmas

Even though this film was released in 1954, it is still a great one to watch on Christmas day. The plot centers around a successful song and dance team who are involved with a sister act team. Their goal is to save the troubled Vermont Inn which is run by their former commanding general.

This animated film retells the classic novel about a Victorian-era miser who is taken on a journey where he must find self redemption. He goes through this process due to several weird Christmas apparitions.

3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I dreamed of being Macaulay Culkin in this film. The film is about a young boy who must protect his home from intruders after his family left him alone for the night.

1. A Christmas Story

Our #1 holiday movie is A Christmas story. In the movie, Ralphie, the main character, must convince his teacher, family and santa that a B.B gun is the perfect gift for him in the classic 1940s setting.
