Anaheim Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”

The Nutcracker is warm and familiar, a story so rooted in our collective memories we can recognize its iconic score in our sleep. But out of every production to come this month, Segerstrom Center’s ten-day engagement is the must-see of them all. Presented by American Ballet Theatre, its the story you know: a young girl awakens a toy Nutcracker on Christmas night who takes her to a magical land of royal desserts. Featuring a rotating dance ensemble every night that includes star ballerina Misty Copeland, Veronika Part, Marcelo Gomez and Stella Abrera, who’s actually the first Filipino American to be promoted to principal dancer. Cirque Noel – The Renaissance

Experience music, mystery and feats of daring during an extraordinary evening of colorful aerialists, singers, dancers and more. This third annual production will feature Renaissance themes and costumes.
