Meet Our Food Trucks | Frysmith

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Frysmith elevates french fries from a lowly side dish to the main course. Hand-cut potatoes and sweet potatoes are fried in canola oil and topped with good things like Jidori chicken, heirloom pork belly, Angus beef and, of course, cheese! The menu ties together the myriad flavors of Southern California that husband-and-wife team Erik Cho and Brook Howell grew up with. Kimchi Fries feature kimchi paired with braised Kurobuta pork belly. The Rajas Fries team steak marinated shawarma style with roasted poblanos and caramelized onions. While making delicious, unique dishes is a priority, Frysmith also cares deeply about the environment and the way food is raised, sourcing only free-range chicken, cage-free eggs and factory-free pork. All packaging is biodegradable or easily recyclable and Frysmith even runs their truck’s engine off of recycled fry oil!

Check out some great pics and more info about their info after the jump!

Owners Chris Aragon and Helen Pan used those little morsels of goodness as a jumping-off point for their truck, getting creative with fillings, like kimchi beef, pork and baby leek, or chicken and veggie.

Vegetarians rejoice! The Seabirds truck is dedicated to delighting your taste buds with their plant-based menu. Actually, you should expect plenty of carnivores as well, because their Beer Battered Avocado Taco has been known to cause meat eaters to consider a culinary conversion.

Meet Our Food Trucks | Fresh Fries

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Who says that fries can’t be served as a dessert? You might be asking yourself just that question after you try the “Peanut Butter Cup” from Fresh Fries. For this unique offering, owners Nikole Marakarian and Roxana Javadi cover sweet potato fries in peanut butter and Nutella, then sprinkle a little powdered sugar on the top. For those of you who prefer your fries to stay savory, try some of their “Fiesta Fries” (topped with green chili guacamole and sour cream), or get them plain and dip them in one of their many sauces.
