Imagine what the Mad Hatter’s tea party would have been like if the White Rabbit Truck had catered it: sisig burritos, chicken adobo tacos, garlic rice, ube fries, and white chocolate champorado and creme brulee toast for dessert.

Meet Our Food Trucks | The Place LA

The Place LA’s claim to fame is their pastrami, the recipe for which is a family secret. That recipe went through lots of fine-tuning to create succulent, flavorful meat. A traditional accompaniment to pastrami is mustard, but the owners felt that regular mustard overpowered their special pastrami, so they created their own mustard-based sauce to perfectly compliment the beef. Cart for a Cause Guest Chef Revealed

Listen up, OC Foodie Fest fans! We announced a few weeks ago that Cart for a Cause would be rolling down to the event. Now we can share which guest chef will be on board. On August 28th Deborah Schneider, Executive Chef of SOL Cocina in Newport Beach, will join the ranks of prominent chefs who have partnered with Cart for a Cause to raise money for the St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels program. In addition to her work at the restaurant, she is the author of four cookbooks, including Amor y Tacos, ¡Baja! Cooking on the Edge, and the James Beard-nominated Cooking with the Seasons at Rancho La Puerta.

Vegetarians rejoice! The Seabirds truck is dedicated to delighting your taste buds with their plant-based menu. Be forewarned, however, that you won’t be alone in their line while waiting to place your order; you’ll be competing with fans of organic food and locavores, too, because Seabirds purchases most of their organic produce from Orange County farms. Actually, you should expect plenty of carnivores as well, because their Beer Battered Avocado Taco has been known to cause meat eaters to consider a culinary conversion.
