Cart for a Cause Guest Chef Revealed

Listen up, OC Foodie Fest fans! We announced a few weeks ago that Cart for a Cause would be rolling down to the event. Now we can share which guest chef will be on board. On August 28th Deborah Schneider, Executive Chef of SOL Cocina in Newport Beach, will join the ranks of prominent chefs who have partnered with Cart for a Cause to raise money for the St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels program. In addition to her work at the restaurant, she is the author of four cookbooks, including Amor y Tacos, ¡Baja! Cooking on the Edge, and the James Beard-nominated Cooking with the Seasons at Rancho La Puerta.

Chef Schneider will be preparing carnitas street tacos with tomatillo salsa, chicharron, and avocado, as well as Ceviche SOL. Net proceeds from this $5 meal will be donated to St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels. Make sure you visit the Cart for a Cause truck at the Foodie Fest to support this worthy charity.
