Every month we highlight a great musician/artist here in Southern California. We introduce you to the performers, show you where to buy their music/art, and tell you where they’re playing/exhibiting next.

For this month’s SoCal Certified segment, we would like to shine the light on Lauren Black. Lauren is a songwriter and indie folk/pop singer originally from Phoenix, Arizona but has relocated here to the OC. This gem is on the verge of breaking out and has the makings of the next Colbie Caillat. Her silky voice and melancholy lyrics give off a coffee shop vibe that make our ears swoon.
